Your companies do not need to create an account with Visible in order to complete a Request from you -- but they can if they want to.
We've designed Visible to be the most founder-friendly investor reporting tool on the market. This means providing companies with options for how they want to share data with investors. We've outlined these different options below:
Option One: Companies can respond to investor Requests without creating an account.
When you send out a Request it will land in your companies' email inboxes.
From there, companies select Get Started to begin their reporting.
This is a link based form that does not save automatically and is intended to be completed in one sitting for privacy and security reasons.
Option Two: Companies can respond to investor Requests through a free Visible for Companies account.
Companies can get access to the Lite plan of our Visible for Companies product by being associated with a paid investor account. This allows them to receive and respond to investor Requests through their account, (among many other company-specific benefits), making it easy to keep track of Requests and making it possible to save progress as they go.
Tip: This is a good option for companies when the Requests from investors are challenging to complete in one sitting or if collaboration from multiple team members is required to complete a Request.
To give your companies access to the free version of our Visible for Companies Lite plan, or to be connected to a Company's account, you will need to invite them through your investor account. Read 'How to Invite my Companies to Visible' for more information.
Note: Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to connect to a company that already has an account set up with Visible.
Option Three: Companies can respond to investor Requests through a paid Visible for Companies account.
Once you're connected to a Company, the company will have the option to use the Lite, Pro, or Scale version of the Visible for Companies product. Nothing will change from your investor account if the company decides to upgrade.
Note: Companies only have access to the dashboards feature on the Pro and Scale plan.
